Posterior deltoid
Origin: Inferior margin of spine of scapula.
Insertion: Deltoid tuberosity of humerus.
Action: Abduction, horizontal extension and lateral rotation of the humerus at the shoulder.
Synergists: Anterior and middle divisions of deltoid, supraspinatus.
